The High-Desert Penmans

Okay, I give! I'll start posting again. And I will try to get Donna posting, too. Just so we're clear - I'm only doing this because Bruce and Maggie are shaming me into it. And I am pretty sure I will be able to shame Alyssa, Andrea, and Jennifer into posting more often.

Topics for this blog will be whatever is going on here in Apple Valley, CA. Which will mostly consist of health news.

Donna's health: I am losing her. She is disappearing a little bit each day!

David's health: Well, 2006 was a bang-up year for my health! But, this is a new year! I am still in a wheel chair and on the wound-vac, but the doctor is allowing me to walk around a little. I may still need a wheel chair by the time we go on our cruise in March.

We are actually considering postponing the cruise from a March cruise in the Carribean to a June cruise to Alaska. It will depend on how much trouble that is and how expensive switching will be.

So that's it for a first post. We are up here in the High Desert, just Donna, me, and the two dogs. That's Duchess and Zoe (we have Zoe because Alyssa is in a housing bind and Zoe loves it here - wide open spaces and all the little dogs you can eat).

Have a nice day.

Comments:
I am shameless - I'll post again some day, I'm sure...

It is a new year - and we are ALL going to be healthier. Check it out - Jen and Mom had me out for an hour long walk last night and then I walked with them and with Bruce tonight. THEN, when we got home tonight, Jen made me walk the dogs with her because it's their birthday today and they "deserve" a nice walk. See, healthier already. And Mom is making delicious dinner every night.

Now if only I could find a job.

Tell Zoe to lay off the little dogs - tell her to try a crack habit instead - much cheaper.

By the way, does anyone KNOW about this site other than Rachel and moi?

Pretty smart. Rather than NOT post on your original blog, create a second blog and not tell anyone about it!

You could call this one "The Secret Blog of the High Desert Penmans".

I am just cranky. I have been up since 1:30am (damn dogs), and didn't get to sleep early enough cuz Cate is sick... bad cold. I think she might also have a sore throat. She was crying for hours tonight. It's soooo hard to hear our little girl cry like that!!!

Alaska sounds wonderful. I vote for Alaska.

Glad to hear Donna is "leaving you" Pretty soon you'll have a new woman on your hands. You better get out of that wheel chair soon.

Feel better.

Cate is saying na na na na da da da da and she still screams- Is our house too loud??? Hmmmm

Shhh! Don't tell Donna that I have a new woman!
